Question by freeeaddys: Whats the best way to design your own website?
I know a little bit about computers, but im not exactly familiar with websites but im teaching myself. I need to make a website for my church, and i’ve already gotten our own domain name and web host. i just need to know what kind of software or program is best to design our own site. for now im using publisher, but i dont want to continue using it for that long.
any help will be appreciated!

I found Page Builder program quite useful back then since it required little to no coding knowledge.
Though I do suggest buying any
HTML/CSS book
or
Flash/Actionscript book if you’re good with graphics and want to create something fancy/animated.
If you’re not interested in learning programming. Id suggest Frontpage or Dreamweaver.

You probably shouldn’t go for software like MS Publisher or Dreamweaver. If you want to build informational or slightly interactive sites, you can look at frameworks like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal.
Once you decide on a framework (all of them are free), you can find ‘themes’ for them, which are basically the look of your website. You’ll find awesome looking themes if you search for them.
WordPress has the best themes and support (from fellow users) as far as I know.
